About Your Provider

Dawn P. Arceneaux

MSN, APRN, FNP-C — 30+ years of nursing practice serving Acadiana

Dawn P. Arceneaux, Family Nurse Practitioner

A Provider Who Knows Your Name

Dawn P. Arceneaux is a Family Nurse Practitioner with over 30 years of nursing experience dedicated to serving the families and communities of Acadiana. Born and raised in Louisiana, she understands the unique healthcare needs, cultural nuances, and lived experiences of Black and Creole families in this region. She brings that deep community knowledge to every patient encounter.

Her credentials run deep: she holds a Master's degree in Nursing with an Adult Specialty and a Post-Master's certificate in Family Nurse Practitioner studies. She is a certified Medical Examiner on the FMCSA National Registry, making her qualified to conduct Department of Transportation physicals. As an AHA authorized instructor, she teaches Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) to healthcare providers and community members.

In 2025, she founded DAB Health Innovations on a simple but powerful principle: every patient deserves a provider who knows their name, understands their history, and respects their community. DAB stands for "Dawn Altha Bernadette" — a tribute to her mother and grandmother.

Today, she serves patients through both in-person visits at her Southwest Louisiana location and virtual appointments, making whole-person wellness care accessible to everyone she treats. Her approach is personal, her knowledge is current, and her commitment to her patients is unwavering.

Recognition

Presidential Award for Health in Community Service

Recognition of exceptional service doesn't come lightly. The Presidential Award for Health in Community Service represents a commitment to improving the health and well being of underserved and vulnerable populations. This is a major credential that reflects decades of dedication to community health, advocacy, and service.

For Dawn, this award validates what she already knew: that healthcare delivered with intention, compassion, and cultural competence changes lives. It represents her belief that a provider's role extends beyond the clinical encounter — it includes advocacy, education, and deep investment in the communities we serve. She carries this recognition as a responsibility to continue doing better, serving better, and healing better.

How DAB Health Is Different

DAB Health Innovations isn't a cold clinical system. It's a warm, personal healthcare experience built on relationship and trust. Every patient is treated as a whole person — not just a symptom to fix, but a complete human with a life, a history, and a future.

We accept all insurance: Medicaid, Medicare, private insurance, and cash pay. Financial barriers should never keep you from care.

We're available everywhere you are: See Dawn in person at our Southwest Louisiana office or connect through secure virtual visits from home. Healthcare on your terms.

We're part of a larger mission: Life Saver Certifications is a sister brand under the DAB umbrella, offering CPR, BLS, ACLS, and first aid training to the community. Together, DAB Health and Life Saver Certifications form a complete healthcare and safety education suite — because prevention and response both matter.

DAB Health + Life Saver Certifications serve the same community from two different entry points. Together they create a comprehensive ecosystem where patients don't just get treated — they get educated, empowered, and connected to lifesaving skills.

Am I Okay: A Journey to Self Discovery and Wellness

It Is Finally Here

Am I Okay

A Journey to Self Discovery and Wellness

After three decades of listening to patients — really listening — Dawn saw a pattern. So many people didn't know when to ask for help. They didn't understand their own bodies well enough to recognize warning signs. They confused normal aches with red flags, or dismissed serious symptoms as stress.

This guided book and journal comes from that observation. It's written for the person who wonders, "Am I okay?" — because that's the question that brings people to the clinic. It's a guide to understanding your body, recognizing what's normal and what isn't, and having the confidence to advocate for your own health.

This isn't a medical textbook. It's a conversation with your nurse practitioner, written from years of real patient stories, real questions, and real solutions. It's about self-discovery, wellness, and knowing yourself well enough to know when you need help.

What Our Patients Say

Real People. Real Results.

I had been through three different clinics in two years and nobody took the time to actually listen. Dawn sat with me for over an hour on my first visit. She looked at my labs, my history, my lifestyle — the whole picture. For the first time in a long time, I felt like someone cared about getting it right.

Brenda Thibodaux

Primary Care Patient

I drive long-haul for a living and I have been through DOT physicals where the examiner barely looks up from the clipboard. Dawn actually explained my blood pressure numbers, talked to me about what I eat on the road, and helped me understand what the medical card process means. I was in and out same day with my card in hand.

Marcus Ledet

DOT Physical — Commercial Driver

Our staffing agency needed BLS and ACLS recertifications for 14 nurses on a tight deadline. Dawn came to our facility, ran both classes back to back, and every single person passed. The hands-on scenarios were better than anything we had seen from the big training centers. We have her on retainer now.

After my second child I could not get the weight off no matter what I tried. Dawn put together a wellness plan that actually made sense for my body — not some cookie-cutter program. Between the nutrition guidance and the lymphatic drainage sessions, I dropped 22 pounds in four months and I feel like myself again.

Wellness Management Patient

I took the Heartsaver CPR class because my job required it. I did not expect it to change my life. Three weeks later my father collapsed at a family gathering and I knew exactly what to do. The paramedics said my compressions kept him alive until they arrived. I thank God for Dawn and that class every single day.
